Woof Woof Wednesday: meet Gizmo

Farrah Penn, BuzzFeed Staff writer and author of the upcoming YA book, Twelve Steps To Normal, met Gizmo on Craigslist in Arizona when he was just a little pup.

Gizmo's parents had a few other puppies and were looking for a forever home for them. He's been in her life for the last six years. They made the move to Los Angeles when he was two, where he enjoys hiking and meeting other four-legged friends. 

Gizmo has a variety of nicknames, including Giz, Gizzy, and Boogie Beans. He only has three toes on his left leg, which the vet said wasn't common but was perfectly fine. He takes a while to warm up to new friends, but he has an extremely spunky energy. He loves "shaking" and "sitting" for treats, although his absolute favorite treat is chicken and turkey. He also loves belly rubs, and will do everything in his power to get you to give him attention. 

The best thing about Gizmo is that he's a super cuddler and loves giving kisses. When Farrah goes to bed, he has to be curled up near her. He also likes sleeping in during the morning when she gets ready for work. He absolutely hates garbage trucks and the beeping sound that the UPS scanner makes when delivering mail.
